Reviews

I do apologise for being away so long. With not one, but two elderly relatives having emergency admissions to hospital, I'm sure you can imagine life has been unusually busy and stressful. I'm glad to say they are both now back home and recovering well.

With all the worry and running around, I'm afraid I've done very little writing.  But I've had some great reviews!!!  Some good ratings on the Siren site; a four-star review at Manic Readers which said the story is 'unique and charming' and the sex scenes 'well written'; and a five-star review on Amazon entitled 'Sexy and intelligent erotica'!  These reviews were as unexpected, and as welcome, as the kind comments on my last blog post.  If any of my reviewers are reading this: thank you; thank you; thank you.

I know I need to get on with book 2 in the series and, believe me, that is absolutely the second thing on my list. First, I have to get the doorways in my house enlarged so I can get my great big swelled head through to reach my computer!

My First Book!

My first e-book, Dragon Rider's Woman, will be released by my publisher, Siren Bookstrand, on Wednesday October 26th.  I'd always dreamed of publication with a big glitzy book launch and all my friends and family celebrating my success.  Instead, I get a release (I guess that's more suitable for a writer of erotica) on a mid-week working day with no celebrations at all (well, maybe just the one glass of wine!).

Nevertheless, I know I'll be excited on the day, if only on the inside.  This is a major landmark for me and one I'm very happy to have reached.  I've written a variety of books in a variety of genres, some of which have received positive feedback from agents and publishers, but nobody actually wanted to represent or publish my work.  It feels like a huge achievement to have had a book accepted by a real professional publishing company.

I'm 20,000 words into the sequel to Dragon Rider's Woman and I'm aiming to finish it by the end of the year.  I'll be blogging here at the start of every month to update you on my news and progress.  I'd love to hear from you if you'd like to leave a comment or send me an email via the address on the 'About Me' page.
